New Quilt Pattern: Dress Up for Tea Time

Good morning everyone! I’ve been enjoying the sunshine and the new found energy it’s giving me. If you’ve been following me on Youtube, you know I’ve been releasing block videos weekly from my latest quilt pattern. Well today is the day I’m going to show you the whole quilt and talk about all the things you need to know about this new pattern! Let’s get started!

Skill Level: Beginner Friendly

Size: 76.5″ x 81.5 “

Skills: HSTs, Flying Geese, Stitch-and-flip method

Quilt Blocks (3): Dress Up Block, Teapot Block, & Teacup Block

Fabric Collection: Lovestruck by Lella Boutique

Sometimes I see a fabric collection and get so inspired by it. When I saw the Lovestruck fabric line I instantly thought of a garden tea party with people wearing beautiful dresses. These fabrics bring in this light and airy feel that makes this quilt so relaxing to look at. Since I wanted to keep that feeling I created easy to piece blocks that a beginner quilter can easily sew together. A fat quarter bundle works well with this collection, but you’ll only need 22 fat quarters to make this quilt.

Background Fabric: 5 yards

Various Prints: 22 Fat Quarters

Inner Border: 3/4 yard

Outer Border: 1 yard

Backing: 7.75 yards

Binding: 3/4 yard

There are three fun blocks that make up this quilt pattern. You could even do one block per week and have this whole quilt finished in a month! I provided a chart to help you know which fabrics I put where to give you the same look as my quilt.

I also included the links to the block videos in the chart below. I hope you find them helpful!

Before we close this chapter on the Dress Up for Tea Time “era” I’m in, I will be releasing one more quilt pattern using this fabric collection. The next pattern is very much inspired by the Dress Up for Tea Time pattern, but in a smaller version. Plus more hearts. You will see what I mean soon! So check back on the blog in about 1-2 weeks to see the next pattern release.

I have loved sharing this quilt with you and doing all the block videos! I think I’m finally finding my flow in how I want to release patterns and help you all with sewing them. Thanks so much for your support and I will see you all next time on Stitch & Bear Time. Happy quilting!
