Wow I have had a scary memorial weekend! For those of you that don’t know, I came up with the name Stitch & Bear Time because of our crazy happy Australian Labradoodle, Little Bear. He was 6 months old around the time I created Stitch & Bear Time’s YouTube channel and was constantly the star of the show! Recently he hurt himself playing too hard and I have been nursing him back to health. I’m so glad he is doing better now and his spirits are back up!

Now that I know he is okay, it is time to get back to sewing! Let’s jump right back into Sewcialites and show you some pretty colorful blocks!

Week 14: Enchant Block
This block was definitely beginner friendly and went together rather quickly! I love how the pink gingham gives a country kitchen kind of feel to the block.

Week 15: Brighten Block
When choosing fabric, pay attention to patterns that allow you to use bigger prints. This block was perfect to let this black flowery print shine! I also paired it with my favorite dot print in this collection.

Week 16: Christmas Star Block
For those experienced quilters out there, this block is for you! I had to pay close attention to what I was doing in order to get this block right. The trick to this block is to make sure all your points match up when sewing. I suggest a lot of pinning! And to make it even more fun, or difficult, I decided to use a directional fabric for the corners. It turned out super cute in the end!

Week 17: Simplicity Block
This block has the possibility to stand out too much in the quilt if the wrong fabrics are chosen. None of the other blocks I have done so far stand out too much. So I decided to choose fabrics that were a little lighter in tone by avoiding black and strong pink colors.

Week 18: Spellbound
This block called for all the colors! What a great block to show off many different kinds of fabrics in a collection.

Week 19: Invigorate Block
With the fabrics I chose, I accidentally made this block look like a bumblebee, but I love it! This is also a great example of how directional fabrics don’t always have to go in the same direction to look good.

I hope you liked all the blocks I showed you! Next time we talk about Sewcialites it will be the last post. So I hope you have enjoyed watching my progress through this sew along! See you next time and happy quilting!
