We are at the final week of this sew along and it’s time to put this whole quilt together! Now it will be a while before you see it all quilted and finished up, so I’ll give you a little peak of what it looks like so far!

Remember the original background fabric that comes in the Christmastime quilt kit from Fat Quarter Shop? Obviously I didn’t really use it the whole sew along, but I did decide to finish my quilt with that fabric! I was nervous at first because I wasn’t sure if it would look good, but I decided to open up that fabric and place my blocks on it to get a general idea of what it would look like. To my surprise, it totally worked well with the blocks!

It frames my blocks perfectly and makes a great border. I do plan to use the binding fabric that came in the kit which does match perfectly with the border.
